If you're looking for a coat rack made from pristine, flawless wood, this particular rack is not for you. On the other hand, if you're after something original, made from a heavily wormed (treated) section of very old pine floorboard, then read on. I've long believed that some things are so ugly, they are beautiful - Keith Richard's face, English bull terriers, for example - which is why I've always enjoyed making coat racks from heavily flawed wood. Finished with Rustic Pine beeswax polish, the result is a remarkably striking coat rack that would sit well in a modern or traditional environment.
The hooks are the can't-go-wrong Georgine-era design acorn-tip hat & coat hook made in cast iron. Black-powder coated, the finish is extremely hard-wearing and will continue to look good long after you and I are no longer in need of coats.
